Biography of the dean of the faculty:
Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor. Author of over 180 scientific and methodological works, in particular 3 textbooks, 8 educational and methodical works.
Under his leadership, in conjunction with the "Center for the Implementation of Innovative Ideas" at the University and the Khokimiyat of Andijan region, 3 republican, innovative, scientific grant projects were implemented. Agreements have been drawn up with three farms of the region aimed at growing raw materials of promising economic value from plants and establishing the production of import-replacing biologically active additives from them.
In his direct, active participation, 3 republican 1 international conferences on the specialization "Classification and certification of goods based on their chemical composition" were held.
Textbooks for grades 7, 8, 9 of general education schools and methodological developments for teachers, written by him as a co-author, were published in several million copies and are used in practice.
With his participation, 6 teaching aids for undergraduate students in the direction of "Chemistry" and 2 for the specialization of the master's program "Chemistry" were created.
As an expert, he participates in a group created by the khokimyat of the Andijan region to provide methodological assistance to higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the region.
Simultaneously with administrative activities, he conducts scientific research in his specialty. He continues his scientific research in the specialization "Classification and certification of goods based on their chemical composition" and is working on his doctoral dissertation.
During his teaching career, he supervised graduation and classification works of bachelor's and master's theses. As an experienced teacher, he was repeatedly awarded for holding regularly organized open classes at a high level.
In the field of providing the educational process of the Department of Natural Sciences, he prepared the texts of lectures and educational and methodological complexes, "The structure of matter", "Modern pedagogical technologies in teaching chemistry", "Performing tasks and exercises in chemistry" for the undergraduate direction "Chemistry" 5140500. DEPARTMENT OF ECOLOGY AND BOTANY
The department began its activity in 1935 on the basis of the Faculty of Natural Geography of the Andijan Institute for the Training of Pedagogical Personnel. Experienced pelagogues-teachers as part of the department carried out educational, educational work. Over time, with the expansion of the faculty, the department was formed as the Department of Ecology and Botany.
The department was considered one at the Faculty of Biology until 1963. All natural sciences were covered by this department.
In different periods, the department was headed by associate professor I. Sotvoldiev (1963-1971), U. Mukhitdinov (1971-1975), S. Kholikov (1975-1986), O. Zhalolov (1986-1988), A. Currently, the department has 21 professors-teachers, including 4 doctors of science (DSc), 6 candidates of science (PhD), 1 senior lecturer and 10 teachers. The scientific potential of the department is 70%.
104 students study in the educational direction "Ecology and environmental protection". Starting from the 2017-2018 academic year, admission to the magistracy in the specialty began.
The department trains 15 masters in the specialty "Ecology" and 24 masters in the specialty "Botany".

In recent years, the department has successfully defended 2 doctoral scientific works (DSc) and 4 scientific works of Doctor of Philosophical Sciences (PhD).
At present, 7 candidates for Doctor of Science and 7 candidates for Doctor of Philosophical Sciences are conducting research activities at the department.
The herbarium of the department was organized in 1997 by Uktamjon Pratov. And at present, over a thousand samples are stored in the herbarium of the department.
Cooperation links have been established with the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the State Committee for Ecology and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its regional committees, with the Kongju State University (Korea), with the Kunming Botanical Institute (China), with Moscow State University (Russia) and with all universities of the republic.
DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

The department is one of the first departments in the Department of Chemistry of Andijan State University. it was organized in 1963 on the basis of Andijan State University. In 1963-1971, the head of the department was Candidate of Chemical Sciences Gulomnabi Khakimov.
In 1971-1981, the department was headed by associate professor M, Mamadaliev. During these years, a separate building was assigned to the department and laboratories in chemistry were created. Since the formation of the department, 15 graduates of the faculty have become candidates and doctors of chemical sciences. These are doctors of philosophy of chemical sciences, associate professors M Kodirov and U. Obidov, doctor of chemical sciences, professor I.R. Askarov, doctor of chemical sciences, professor N.Madikhonov, doctor of chemical sciences I.A. Abdugofurov, candidates of chemical sciences, associate professors T.Y. . Nasriddinov, E. Mirzaboev, T. 1981-1987 the department was headed by candidate of chemical sciences associate professor K.K.Khaydarov.
Since 1987, the department was headed by Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor I.R. Askarov.
R.A. Askarov began his career as the head of the department with repair and re-equipment. Created a scientific laboratory. He did everything to create an office for the preparation of chemical preparations and a new, modern teacher's office at the department. As the head of the department, he achieved the most complete provision of the chemical laboratory. Under his leadership, the offices and corridors of the department were re-equipped. He paid special attention to the discussion of open lectures, organized a consulting methodology at the department, streamlined the implementation and defense of theses in chemistry. A huge share of R.A. Askarov in the development of relations with the schools of the city and region. Under his leadership, extensive research on the chemistry of ferrocene was carried out.
In 1992, when our institute was given the status of a university, the Faculty of Chemistry was established. On the basis of the Faculty of Chemistry, two new departments were created: "General and Organic Chemistry" and "Physical and Analytical Chemistry". The Department of General and Organic Chemistry was headed by Professor I.R. Askarov, and the Department of Physical and Analytical Chemistry - Associate Professor T.Yu. Nasriddinov.
In 1992-1996, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor T.Yu. Nasriddinov as the head of the department of "Physical and Analytical Chemistry" and Otakhanov Kobiljon Kakhramanovich (head of the department of chemistry) made their worthy contribution to the scientific activities of the teachers of the department, which became one of the best at the university. T. Nasriddinov conducted a lot of research in the field of organic chemistry and worked effectively to solve many unresolved problems in this area.
By the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 510 dated October 30, 2021, a scientific council was established at Andijan State University to award scientific degrees of Doctor of Chemical Sciences (DSc) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in chemistry DSc 03/29.2021.К.60.05. Currently, the Scientific Council is holding defenses in the specialties 02.00.09 - "Commodity Chemistry" (chemical sciences) and 14.00.41 - "Folk Medicine" (chemical sciences).
Later, in different years, the department was headed by Ph.D. Isroilov, candidate of chemical sciences associate professor I.A. Abdugafurov, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Associate Professor Abdullaev, Doctor of Chemical Sciences Professor I.R. Askarov, Candidate of Chemical Sciences Associate Professor Yu.T. DEPARTMENT OF ZOOLOGY AND BIOCHEMISTRY
The department was established in 2011 on the basis of the departments "Zoology" and "Biochemistry". The department is a department that trains specialists in the direction of "Biology" and trains a number of masters.
In 1931, he began working under the name "Chair of Natural Sciences". At that time, the institute had only one department of natural sciences, which trained teachers of biology and chemistry. To further improve the quality of teaching, such famous scientists as S.V. Avrintsev and S.P. Deineka, leading professors and teachers of the Fergana Pedagogical Institute at that time, were invited to the Andijan Institute.
In 1957, after the appointment of Associate Professor (later Professor) G.Kh. He paid great attention to increasing the potential of the faculty of the departments, increasing the number of specialists with academic degrees, creating new departments, and attracting young people capable of scientific work.
During this period, 1 doctoral and 5 master's theses were defended as a result of scientific research, which are aimed at the successful implementation of tasks aimed at further improving the quality of educational work.
After the institute was given the status of a university in 1992, the department was transformed into the Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics. The department was headed by Academician A. Kasimov. During this period, the textbooks "Biochemistry" and "Workshop on Biochemistry" were created at the department, laboratory equipment for large-scale research on plant physiology, in particular, the creation of new varieties of cotton, which is an urgent problem for agriculture in the region, was put into practice. During his career in 1997, he conducted research on the effects of biostimulants on plants in the laboratory of "Biologically Active Substances".

Currently, the Department of Zoology and Biochemistry is headed by Doctor of Biological Sciences. Professor A.K.Khusanov.
Currently, the department has 2 doctors of science, professors: Khoshimov O., Tazhiboev K., 6 associate professors, candidates of science, 3 associate professors, candidates of science (PhD), 2 senior lecturers and 12 teachers.
In recent years, there has been an increase in the scientific potential of the department. A. Khusanov received a Ph.D. in biological sciences, F. Yuldashev received a Ph.D. in agriculture.
In 2016, the teachers of the department F.Tukhtaboeva, K.Kuchkarova prepared a textbook "Environmental foundations of biotechnology", in 2018 teachers I.Badalkhodzhaeva, T.Madumarova prepared the textbook "Cytology", teachers A.Khusanova, I.Zokirova the textbook "Animal Ecology ", teachers I. Badalkhodzhaeva and A. Khusanova prepared a teaching aid "Laboratory workshop on parasitology".
The department has a long-term plan to increase the scientific potential and rejuvenate the department of zoology for 2016-2022 for the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel. Until 2024, it is planned to defend 4 doctoral dissertations.
Since 2015, the department has postgraduate education - doctoral studies in the specialty 03.00.06 - Zoology, since 2017 03.00.01 - biochemistry, since 2018 03.00.12 - biotechnology.
By 2016, the educational and methodological base of the department was replenished with newly acquired autoclaves, bidistillators, laminar boxes, microcenters, vacuum centrifuges, homogenizers, microtomes, microscopes, magnifiers, preparative devices.

The Department of Zoology and Biochemistry conducts scientific activities in cooperation with the Department of Botany Ecology.
A circle of young entomologists is actively working at the department in order to conduct research with talented students. About 50 active members of the circle conduct scientific research on the topics “Theoretical and practical problems of protecting rare species based on the study of the fauna of the Ferghana Valley, species composition, life processes of distribution”, “Development of methods and means of protecting corn and other tall plants from pests”, “Influence ultrafine powders to increase the yield of agricultural crops”.
In the educational direction in biology, a total of 413 students study. Currently, 126 gifted students of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th courses are attached to the faculty of the department. They actively participate in foreign and domestic scientific conferences with their articles and abstracts.
To date, the department has established scientific cooperation with the Institute of Genetics and Experimental Biology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the Research Institute of Microbiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with the Research Institute of Pharmacology of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Tashkent State Pedagogical Institute named after Nizami.
In addition, in order to increase the efficiency of training the scientific and pedagogical staff of the department, the basic doctoral student in the specialty of biochemistry, Iroda Mamatova, was sent for a one-year internship at the University of Southwest China.
According to the results of international cooperation and scientific relations with foreign countries, the teacher of the department M. Zokirovana, on the basis of the direction of the Istedod Foundation, October 1-31, 2018, studied at the advanced training course at the Leningrad State University. A.S. Pushkin. During her studies on the course, M. Zokirova took part in 2 international scientific conferences and published a scientific thesis based on the results of her research.
According to the scientific development of the associate professor of the department F. Yuldashev on the topic "New technology in the protection of corn from pests", agreements on corporate cooperation were signed with the farms "Anor", "Yuksalish bogi", "Hoshimzhon Faizli Erlari".

The department of geography is one of the basic ones at the university.
The department trains bachelors in the areas of education on the basis of the program "Geography" 60530400 and the joint program - "1-890101 - "Tourism and Hospitality" (Polotsk University of the Republic of Belarus) and in the specialty "Geography (according to the object of study) - 70530402.
In the 2021-2022 academic year, the department employs a total of 17 people, including 12 professors and teachers working in the main staff, and 5 teachers as assistants. August 27, 2021 Head of the Department, Assoc. R.B. Kadyrov defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Ways for the efficient use of labor resources in the regions of the Ferghana Valley of the Republic of Uzbekistan” and became the first doctor of geographical sciences in the history of Andijan State University. At present, the teachers of the department Z.Temirov and M.Atajonov also presented their research work (PhD) to the Specialized Scientific Council of the National University of Uzbekistan.
Since 2019, the department has organized a supporting doctoral program of postgraduate education in the specialty 11.00.02 - "Economic and social geography".
Starting from the 2020-2021 academic year, the department has opened a master's program in the specialty geography (according to the object of study).
The department created a huge globe with a diameter of 120 cm, which is the second largest in the country.
The textbook "Economic and social geography of Uzbekistan" (2019), "Geographical foundations of nature management" and "Methodology of term paper" prepared by the professor of the department M. Mamazhonov (2020) are of particular importance for professors-teachers and students of higher educational institutions.
The department has a section "Meteorology", where students conduct meteorological observations of the weather.
The department cooperates with the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Uzbekistan, with universities of the republic, including foreign universities, in particular with the Baltic Federal University of the Russian Federation, Polotsk State University of the Republic of Belarus, Kazakhstan National Pedagogical University named after Abay, Osh State University, Jalal-Abad State University and others.
The department has extensive experience in training geography teachers. Initially, in 1996-1999, the department was headed by Ph.D., prof. Maksudov, in 1999-2003 - associate professor S. The first geography teachers were trained in 1935. At that time, there was an institute of teachers, which for two years trained teachers of natural science and geography for grades 5-7 of general education schools. The Faculty of Natural Geography worked at the institute, where geography was taught by S. Gubaev, T. Abdullaev, A. Samatov, G. Sh. Ilyasov.

A talented young scientist of the department Temirov Zokirzhon Abdulvakhidovich, having become a participant in the demographic course, visited the Arab Republic of Egypt.
The department participated in foreign grants, and in 2019, together with the Handong Global University, developed teaching aids in the subjects "Geography and demography of the population" and "Geography of agriculture".
Based on the scientific development "Improvement of the ameliorative state of lands", the department signed an economic agreement with the farm "Chin Namuna Zamin".
