The Center is based on the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 23, 2001 No. 230, the order of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated January 23, 2005 No. 23 and was formed by the decision of the Academic Council and the Rector of the University. 

MAIN ACTIVITIES OF THE CENTER

• Organization and management of computer and information infrastructure.

• Creation of electronic libraries and information systems and introduction of automated information systems into the educational process. Implement information technology and distance learning systems at the university level.

• Conducting seminars for teachers and teachers on topical issues of information technology and distance learning.

• Provide faculty, graduate and undergraduate students with Internet access and access to national educational and scientific networks.

• Creation of an educational and methodological base for distance learning in conjunction with the faculties and departments of the university, i.е. creation of electronic textbooks, teaching materials, course modules for distance learning.

• Organization of conferences, seminars, symposiums and exhibitions to demonstrate achievements in the field of distance learning, the introduction of information and communication technologies.

• Establish scientific and creative cooperation with other universities, centers and departments of the republic, as well as foreign universities.

• Preliminary examination of the quality of software and automated information systems developed at the University.

• Control the quality of laboratory classes conducted by the university departments in computer classes, provide them with scientific and practical advice.

• Attracting investments for the development of information technologies and distance learning systems.

• Implement security measures to protect information.

• Develop recommendations for the analysis and implementation of the latest advances in information technology.

• Make proposals for informing and financing the activities of the University.

• Engage specialists from other organizations, including on a contractual basis.

• Require from departments and departments of the university the necessary information to carry out their activities
