Starting from 2024, entrance examinations for admission to state higher and vocational education institutions (excluding vocational schools) will be conducted simultaneously based on the principle of *"test first, then selection"* ([link to regulation](https://lex.uz/uz/docs/-6937332)).
According to this principle, applicants will participate in the competition for admission first to bachelor's programs of higher education institutions, and then to vocational education institutions, based on the scores obtained in the test exams and according to their preferences.
Entrance exams for higher and vocational education institutions will be held during the months of July and August.
The admission process to the bachelor's level of state higher education institutions will be conducted in two stages:
Stage 1: From June 5 to June 25 each year (inclusive of June 25), applicants must register for the test exams. During registration, applicants select the combination of test subjects, the language of instruction, and the location for taking the test. If the entrance exam includes a professional (creative) component, they must also choose the state higher education institution where this component will be taken.
Stage 2: Within 15 days after the completion of all test exams, applicants choose the higher education institution, bachelor's degree program, and the form of study they wish to pursue. Applicants who do not make a final selection of an institution, program, and study format will not be included in the final placement process.
Applicants wishing to enroll in vocational education institutions must select the institution, profession/specialty, and study format within 10 days following the announcement of the final results of university admissions.
