There are 3 departments at the faculty today. These are the departments of Algebra and Analysis, Mechanics and Mathematics, and Computer Science. The faculty trains specialists and teachers in 3 areas of pre-university education.

DEPARTMENTS OF THE FACULTY

DEPARTMENT OF ALGEBRA AND ANALYSIS 

There are 21 professors at the department. They conduct research in the field of differential equations and their applications, modern algebra and analysis, probability theory and mathematical statistics, and methods of teaching mathematics. The department has established strong ties with the University of Malaysia Terengganu, the University of Malaysia, the Federal University of ABC, the University of Brazil and leading universities in Uzbekistan. Today at the Department of Algebra and Analysis there is a master’s specialty “70540101 – Mathematics (in areas)”. 01.01.01 – Mathematical analysis, 01.01.02 – Differential equations and mathematical physics, 01.01.05 – Probability theory and mathematical statistics, 01.01.06 – Algebra, 13.00.02 – Theoretical and methodological (mathematical) specialties that are studied by basic doctoral students and conducting scientific research. The department operates such clubs as “Al-Khorezmi”, “Integral”, “Algebra” and the scientific seminar “Modern algebra and analysis”.

Currently, the department employs 1 associate professor, 2 senior teachers and 4 teachers, as well as 3 teachers on a substitute basis. During the activity of the department, professors and teachers published 5 textbooks and 4 teaching aids. In addition, certificates have been obtained for more than 30 programs and databases created for electronic computers. The department operates such clubs as “Modern information technologies and programming basics”, “UZBEKCODERS”, “Working in office programs”. Funds for software products and services are sold by professors and teachers of the department on the basis of orders in various areas. Currently, the department cooperates with the Institute of Mathematics and Informatics of the North-Eastern Federal University of Russia named after M.K.Ammosov and Kemerovo State University.
