On September, Andijan State University hosted a Youth Festival entitled "Five important initiatives are the prospects of tomorrow for our Youth".

The festival was attended by the teams of regional and higher educational institutions of the region, representatives of culture, art, sports and other fields, students, professors and teachers.

Guests of the festival were greeted by the students of the University with the dance "Andijan Polka".  The enthusiasm of the young men  delighted the audience.

The festival was opened by the head of the Secretariat of Youth, Social and Economic Affairs of the Andijan regional administration A.Mirkamilov, who emphasized that the Youth Festival being held in the region under the motto “Let's respond to the initiative of the President with initiative” is being held in a different spirit at Andijan State University.

The first day of the festival was dedicated to the first of the five initiatives: a gallery of fine art, a puppet theater team of the university students, a staged performance "Andajonim qoldi" that is dedicated to the life of Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur by the student theater studio, crafts and ceramics, exhibition of art samples that were made by the students.

Visitors were amazed by the first-year student of Computer science teaching methodology, Kodirjonov Oyatillo, who promotes the preservation of nature and ecology with his pictures.  Undoubtly, Oyatillo is a good example for his peers despite the physical limitations

The festival included a variety of contests featuring five initiatives: song contest among students, poetry and expressive reading, and drawing competitions under the slogan "Five initiatives in the vision of young artists".  Especially in the faces of school-aged children attending the festival, the desire to enter the magical world of fine art was felt.

The second day of the Youth Festival was dedicated to boosting the interest of youth in physical culture and sports.  The university has become a major sports field for young athletes in the valley.  Guest sportsmen from Fergana and Namangan State University and from our regionʼs ChTSS, our coaches, winners of the Olympic, World and Asian Championships of Andijan State University, coaches, local sportsmen competed in sports, exchanged experiences and developed a love for the youth.

Initially, demonstration exercises in fencing, basketball, boxing, karate, and ushu were held.  In addition, the exhibition, which reflects the achievements of university student athletes in recent years, has given the participants a sense of pride.  In particular, it is commendable that in recent years the university has produced 2 Olympic champions, 2 winners and prize-winners of Paralympic Games, 17 world champions, 33 Asian, 88 champions of Uzbekistan, and about 200 winners.  Meetings with young girls, especially those who won the Asian championship in sambo last week, Farrukhbek Ubaydullaev, who won the Asian belt on MMA, and the girls' superpower in Uzbekistan's volleyball, have been very encouraging.

After that, an open tournament for the rector's Cup of Andijan State University on belt wrestling, which was inherited by our ancestors as honor started.  The participation of world, Asian and national champions in belt wrestling, as well as the refereeing of world-class sports masters demonstrates the scale and excellence of this event.

Rope pulling among boys, belt pulling among girls, weight lifting of 30 kg stone,  armwrestling also won the audience's applause.

About 100 youngsters played a game of mind on 40 chess and dashboards.  The master classes held by our university students, who won championships in Uzbekistan and won world and Asian championships, by the coaches of the University of Tennis for young athletes and pupils of ChTSS, were useful for young people.

The strongest and most intense matches were played in mini-football among young men and volleyball among girls.  The Dean's Cup-2019 student teams, which have become a tradition in all faculties of the university, have taken part in the Rector's Cup-2019 competition.  The discussions were full of intense struggles.

Also, during the festival, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Andijan State University and football clubs "Andijan" and "Andijanka" in order to develop football among boys and girls. The Memorandum provides for cooperation between the University's men's and women's soccer teams to debut in the first league of the country, to host various competitions and many more.  Rector of the university Akramjon Yuldashev was presented with T-shirt of "Andijan" football club.

The last day of the festival was devoted to such important initiatives as the formation the skills of young people to use information technology, the promotion of reading literacy among the youth of the country, and the promotion of women's employment.

Book sales were organized for the festival participants, and students purchased more than 500 books.  The information and resource center of the University, regional information and resource center named after Babur organized an exhibition of fiction, scientific and educational literature.  Another important aspect is the innovative QR-code books for easy download of books over the phone was presented to the students.

During the festival, the team of Physics and Mathematics organized a project "Five contests within one initiative" for the effective organization of computer technologies and the Internet between the population and youth.

Under the terms of the competition, each student team of 5 members will participate in one of the quiz contests on programming, computer networks, computer assembling, computer graphics, and information technology, and will be the winner of the team with the highest score.  The organized competition was remarkable for its practical significance.

Also,  faculty library organized by students on the initiative of "This is my library"  was opened at the Faculty of Social Economics. A distinctive feature of the library is that the educational resources available at the faculty are provided with basic literature in the science programs.  Especially, useful aspect for the students of the faculty was the opportunity to receive rare electronic, legal, psychological and economical translations of foreign electronic literature through the library.  Another advantage of the electronic library is that it is automatically replenished via the Internet.  There is also a large amount of fiction in this library, which will also help to develop the culture of book reading among young people.

In the final part of the festival,  contests and competitions were held     on the promotion of women's employment that is the most important part of the five initiatives. Demonstrations of traditional art, the exhibition of national crafts of women,  showcase of the national costumes created by girls in "Skilful hands" circles that were organized at the University's 6 student dormitories by the initiative of the Women's Committee of ASU  and culinary competitions among the girls caused great interest.

The most exciting and emotional part of the three-day Youth Festival “Five important initiatives are the prospects of tomorrow for our Youth” was the ceremony of awarding the winners of the events and contests, it was in a high and friendly spirit.

According to the final results, the third place was taken by the Faculty of Arts, the second - the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, the team of the Faculty of History, who prepared well for the contests won the first place.  More than 100 participants were awarded with honorary titles, book collections, valuable prizes and cash prizes by the university administration and trade union committee.

Most importantly, ideas put forward on five important initiatives   will certainly make a significant contribution to reflect the ideas in youthʼs mind, to convey them to other young people in our society on a peer-to-peer basis, to educate them spiritually, conscientiously, art-loving, physically and spiritually, finding womenʼs place in the society. Propagation of five important initiatives organized at Andijan State University, practical work in this direction will help to make it a permanent process and a part of our daily life.
