At present, out of 1543 employees working at Andijan State University, 707 (386 professors-teachers, 321 employees), i.е. 45.7% are women.
A lot of work is being done at the university to increase the socio-political activity of women, expand their participation in management, and ensure equal rights and opportunities for them. To date, the proportion of women in leadership positions at the university has increased to 24 people.
2 of our women lead the positions of deans, 12 department heads, 9 department heads and 1 chairperson of the specialized council.
Of the 14,922 students studying at the university, 9,256 are girls, of which 2,932 are married.
The Advisory Council for Women's Affairs of Andijan State University was established in accordance with Decree No. 326 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated June 17, 2020 "On the establishment of Advisory Councils for Women's Affairs", Order No. 03-69 of the Rector of Andijan State University dated June 25 2020 and the decision of the Assembly of July 4, 2020, and operates on the basis of the “Model Regulations on the Council for Women”.
The Council for Women's Affairs conducts spiritual and educational, explanatory work to increase the socio-political activity of women, protect their interests, and improve the entrepreneurial and professional skills of women. Particular attention is paid to low- income women and those in need of social protection, reproductive health, preparing students for family life, and strengthening family relations based on our traditional values.
In particular, in 2021, on the occasion of January 14 - Defender of the Fatherland Day, holiday cards and napkins prepared by the Women's Council were distributed to male teachers, workers and agricultural workers working at the university.
On the day of the main regional event, under the leadership of the Chairman of the Women's Council U. Akhmedova, members of the ASU club "Kizlarzhon" distributed holiday cards to the participants of the event, veterans and soldiers.
In order to study the lifestyle, conditions and problems of students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, as well as to conduct spiritual, moral and educational work with them, on January 15, 2021, the Chairwoman of the ASU Women's Council U. Akhmedova and the Chairperson of the Committee of the Faculty of Foreign Languages D. Zokirova organized another visit to the hostel students number 4 of Andijan State University.
In order to stabilize a healthy lifestyle and prevent attraction to bad habits among female students, on February 16, 2021, the Advisory Council for Women of Andijan State University organized a round table on the topic “We are for a healthy lifestyle!” in the hostel of students No. 5. It was attended by the doctor of the Andijan regional branch of the Institute of Health and Medical Statistics of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan M. As part of the Andijan regional stage of the republican festival "Nafosat-2021", on February 4, 2021, a round table was organized at Andijan State University. It was attended by the chief adviser of the Committee on Women Affairs and Gender Equality of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nodirakhan Shotursunova, the specialist of the Ministry of Mahalla and Family Support Tolinoy Kadyrova, the head of the special Islamic educational institution for women "Khadichai Kubro" Nozima Ibragimova, the head of the department for the introduction of new design works of "Uztekstilprom" Kamola Gulyamova and the first deputy head of the Mahalla and Family Support Department for the Andijan region Shahlo Solieva, as well as active and enterprising university students aged 18 to 35 years.

Wonderful songs performed by the students of the direction of musical education of ASU gave the guests high spirits.
The main event of the festival began in the assembly hall of the university. On this day, in order to study the opinion of the youth of the republic on the culture of dressing, the republican center "Public Opinion" conducted an anonymous survey.
After that, a sincere and open conversation between the guests and the students took place.
On February 5, 2021, at the Nafosat festival, held in the Shakhrikhan district, students of Andijan State University presented fashion trends imbued with Uzbek national values, as well as modern national costumes.

On January 22, 2021, under the leadership of the chairman of the women's committee of the socio-economic faculty, Shohsanam Usmanova, a chess competition was held among the students of the socio-economic faculty.
On February 9, 2021, at the initiative of the chairman of the socio-economic faculty, Shohsanam Usmanova, a poetry evening dedicated to the birthday of Alisher Navoi was held among the students of the socio-economic faculty living in student hostel No. 2.
On February 15, 2021, 1st year students of preschool education led by Shakhnozakhan Mirzaakhmedova, chairman of the women's committee of the preschool pedagogical faculty of Andijan State University, organized an art and music event dedicated to the birthday of the great figure Hazrat Mir Alisher Navoi and Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. During the event, students performed ghazals and rubais, stage performances were shown. Uzbek national dances were performed. Pupils of the non-governmental organization of preschool education "Zukko Bolaijon", opened at the faculty, also took part in the event with their speeches.
On January 26, 2021, the same faculty, under the leadership of the dean of the faculty Azimova Z., held an open dialogue on the manners, behavior, speech, and clothes of girls in the specialty of preschool education. It was attended by female students living in student hostel No. 3.
At the initiative of the Women's Council of Andijan State University to educate a generation of perfect, intelligent women, to encourage their peers to strengthen faith in the ideas of national independence and cultural and spiritual values, to encourage their active participation in accelerating large-scale reforms, on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8, a "Girl's Online -quiz".

On March 17, 2021, the khakim of Andijan region Shukhratbek Abdurakhmanov visited student dormitory No. 2 of Andijan State University to hear students' requests and got acquainted with the conditions created for them. On April 1, 2020, at the initiative of the chairman of the women's council of the pedagogical faculty of Andijan State University, Gulnozakhon Teshaboeva, among the 1st year students of primary and technological education studying at the faculty, on the topic "Girls' Manners", the manners of behavior, clothes and speech of girls were discussed. In order to support the desire of young people to master modern professions and create conditions for them to realize their creative and intellectual potential, which is determined by the state policy on youth pursued by our country, on the initiative of the chairman of the committee on women's affairs of Andijan State University U. Akhmedova, an educational excursion was organized to plant "UzAvtoMotors" for 2nd year students of the direction "Technological education" of a joint educational program with Polotsk State University.
On the eve of the presidential elections, the Women's Council of Andijan State University held a round table among students living in student hostel No. 2, aimed at increasing their legal culture and social and political activity, improving legal knowledge.

The slogan "We are against violence" among students and youth studying at the university in connection with the creation of the company "16 days against violence" from November 25 to December 10, 2021 in the cooperation work plan signed between the Commission on Gender Equality of the Republic of Uzbekistan and representative offices of international organizations in Uzbekistan announced a selection of videos. On December 6, 2021, in the spiritual and educational room of the student dormitory No. 2, the chairman of the women's council of the university U. The speakers of the event spoke about the information directed against the spirituality of a person in the modern processes of globalization, protecting our youth from their negative consequences.
During the round table, the most important tasks aimed at ensuring information security were discussed, within which the formation of a culture of obtaining information from our students, in particular, compliance with cultural and ethical standards when using the Internet, strengthening ideological immunity, in particular, placement, distribution, search information on the Internet, it was noted that further improvement of information security and Internet culture is necessary, including such features as use, and related legal and organizational recommendations in this regard.

In order to create a healthy moral environment among students studying at the university, to regulate their compliance with the internal regulations and culture of clothing, since September 2021, permanent working groups have been formed at each faculty to conduct individual explanatory work on the culture of students' clothing. The working groups involved professors and lecturers who enjoy a reputation and attention in society. Members of the working group conduct individual conversations with students who observe unusual situations in their clothes and appearance outside of class.
Organized systematic work with partner organizations on the basis of the annual work plan. By the Decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated September 17, 2021 No. 585 “On measures to provide material support for higher education for low-income girls who have lost their parents or one of them, and single women who do not have a breadwinner”, documents of 121 students who are considered low-income girls and single women without a breadwinner.
Members of the working group of the university, together with senior officials of public gatherings of the microdistrict in which they live, studied the living conditions of applicants, and a document was drawn up.
As a result of the study, taking into account the fact that the criteria specified in the Regulations were recognized as a low-income family with a difficult family situation, documents of 72 students who lost their parents or one of them and single women were submitted to the regional commission for the material support of higher education for low-income girls without a breadwinner, was drawn up and 35 of them were appointed for the 2021-2022 academic year by application No. 09/13-117 dated 10/21/2021.
