Today, on August 22, on the eve of the 34th anniversary of Uzbekistan's independence, a nationwide charity hashar was held at Andijan State University under the slogan “Prosperous and blessed neighborhood – beauty of the country” in order to preserve the environment and promote a healthy lifestyle.

In the early morning, under the leadership of Rector Bakhtiyorjon Akbaraliyev, with the participation of professors, employees, and young volunteers, improvement work was carried out on the internal and external territories of the university buildings, green areas, dormitories, and general areas according to the plan and in strict compliance with safety regulations.

During the hashar, the university staff organized walkways in designated areas and whitewashed more than 800 trees to protect them from harmful insects. Waste collected during landscaping and greening works was organized to be transported to designated locations. Cultivated land with an area of 2000 sq.m. was brought into order, more than 500 trees and flowers were shaped, and weeds were removed.

Protecting the environment and preserving mother nature is the sacred duty of each of us. It is necessary to increase the effectiveness of the work being carried out in this direction, introduce environmental education to all segments of society, expand green areas, and ensure the active participation of every citizen in environmental protection. By treating nature with care and preserving its purity and cleanliness, we provide future generations with a healthy, stable, and prosperous living environment.
