Today, on August 21, a training seminar on “Improving the effectiveness of Advisory Councils on guaranteeing equal rights and opportunities for women and men” was held in the meeting hall of the Andijan regional administration in cooperation with the Committee for family and women of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the regional administration.

Within the framework of the seminar, gender equality, the role and activities of Advisory Councils, and strategies for improving their effectiveness were comprehensively analyzed. Issues of gender equality and its legal basis, the practical application of laws, interdepartmental exchange of experience, and cooperation with the non-governmental sector were also widely discussed.

Sobirakhon Toshpulatova, advisor to the rector for Women's affairs at Andijan State University, participated in this seminar with a lecture on “The activities of the Advisory Council of Andijan State University and future plans”.

In her report, Sobirakhon Toshpulatova highlighted a number of important issues related to the effective organization of the activities of the Advisory Council of Andijan State University, ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men.

At the end of the seminar, participants developed recommendations on ensuring gender equality, increasing the effectiveness of Advisory Councils, and creating equal rights and opportunities for women and men. These recommendations will be implemented in practice in the future and will serve as an important step towards ensuring gender equality in society.
