On the basis of a memorandum of cooperation signed between Andijan State University and Isparta University of Applied Sciences in Turkey, a new scientific and practical center has been created at Andijan State University. This center has begun its activities and is currently carrying out continuous and effective work in the direction of cultivation, propagation, and scientific research of medicinal leeches.

On August 19 of this year, Associate professor of the Isparta University of Applied Sciences, Doctor of Biological Sciences Mustafa Ceylan visited the university to further develop the activities of the scientific and practical center established at the university, strengthen scientific cooperation, and conduct joint research in the field of medical leeches.

At the beginning of the visit, Associate professor Mustafa Ceylan met with the Rector of Andijan State University, Bakhtiyorjon Akbaraliyev, and discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, improving the quality of education, expanding international cooperation, and developing scientific research. At the end of the meeting, promising plans for the future were determined.

After that, Dr. Mustafa Ceylan, with the participation of university officials, got acquainted with the activities of the scientific and practical center and familiarized himself with the research process carried out in the laboratory. During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the modern conditions created at the center and the working environment of researchers. Dr. Ceylan emphasized that this center will serve to create new scientific opportunities for the study and breeding of medical leeches between the two countries.
