Here is list of tasks carried out at Andijan State University with the aim to achieve affordable and clean energy:
-
Two start-up project were financed by ASU, “Development of a hybrid solar-wind energy device” and “Development of a teaching-methodical stand for studying the solar power plant”. Each one of them received 100 million sum from university and supported by the Business Incubation and Acceleration Center of university. Moreover, the Renewable Energy Sources Laboratory also provided practical experiments through its cutting-edge simulations as well as latest equipments. The main focus of lab is developing effective, environmentally friendly technology by utilizing renewable resources like sun, wind, and bioenergy.
-
High energy usage university heating center equipments had been replaced into new one which resulted 25 kilowatt/hour energy reduction by which lowered carbon-footprint.
-
Solar panels with a capacity of 863.5 kilowatt hours were installed.
-
239 existing building lamps upgraded into new energy efficient ones and 28 LED sensor lamps were also installed
-
On February 4, 2023 Andijan State University held meeting attended by Shuhratbek Abdurakhmonov, the regional governor, district and city experts, field scientists, and trained specialists working on renewable energy source research. The visitors began by touring the university's labs for semiconductor technology and renewable energy sources. They were shown innovative displays at the university's main building, such as a mobile solar panel, a mini solar photovoltaic station, a mini hydropower station, and a solar panel.

A Volunteer Center has been developed by Andijan State University with the goal of interacting with the community and educating people about the vital significance of sustainable development such as, clean energy and energy efficiency. The center wants to inform the public about sustainable energy use by promoting the use of renewable energy sources and identifying ways to cut energy use through a variety of outreach programs. By encouraging these crucial behaviors, the Volunteer Center hopes to empower the community to contribute to larger sustainability objectives and lessen ecological footprints, in addition to cultivating a culture of environmental responsibility.

Set of future plans, developments and upgrades made at Andijan State University following the Uzbekistan Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan On the Utilization of Renewable Energy Sources dated 21.05.2019 No. ZRU-539, which sets targets to improve energy efficiency by 20% by 2026 and aims for a 1.5-fold increase by 2030. University goals to achieve energy efficiency follows:
-
1. Shifting from carbon-intensive energy into renewable, clean energy sources.
-
2. Upgrade existing buildings to higher energy efficiency.
-
3. Follow the energy efficiency standard rules in new building constructions.
-
4. Reduce carbon dioxide emissions.
-
5. Follow the legality, accountability, openness and transparency in energy use.
