This report details our activities and impact under SDG 1, highlighting the ways in which Andijan State University helped to reduce poverty in 2023 through partnerships, direct actions, and creative thinking. We concentrate on initiatives that help people attain financial independence and a higher standard of living while addressing the root causes of poverty. Our strategy shows a comprehensive dedication to economic resilience and social equality, which is consistent with our goal of making significant, long-lasting contributions both locally and internationally.

Talantbek Madumarov, dean of the Faculty of Socio-Economics, led a meeting on December

6, 2023, in Andijan State University's student residence No. 2 as part of "Constitution Week"

with the motto, "The Constitution is the basis of a people-oriented state, stable development,

and a prosperous life!"

The "Best Startup" competition among students was announced by the Business Incubation and Acceleration Center established at Andijan State University. Out of 13 projects submitted by students to this competition, 2 projects were recognized as winners and financed from the funds allocated to the 2023 Business Incubation and Acceleration Center. Overall during 2023 Andijan State University had financed total 6 start-up projects worth 600 million sums from extra-budgetary funds of the university.

In the academic year of 2022-2023 according to the order of the rector of the university:

• 30 students who were in a difficult social situation, unable to pay the contract amount, were paid the contract amount in the amount of 50% (3 650 000 sums).

• The scholarship payments to 11 orphan students studying at the university have been increased by 50%.

• 69 students with disabilities (1, Il, III) 5O% ,l2 students who are foster children of orphanage and charity home 100%, 24 students in need of social protection, included in the "Social protection Register" information system, are exempted from the student accommodation fee in the amount of 30%, 13 students who have lost their breadwinners 50%.
