During the operation in 2023 year from one kitchen daily 23kg food waste was collected and stored in special containers (in the picture below). All kitchens together generated 115 kg of food waste per day, 690 kg per week, 2 760 kg per month, and 110 400 kg per year. This food waste is transported to the homes of the livestock farmers near the university area. There is no charge for taking food waste home.
