Today, on September 11, the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Problems and Prospects of Commodity Chemistry and Traditional Medicine”, dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the birth of Academician of the Academy of Medicine of Uzbekistan, Honored Inventor of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Doctor of Chemical Sciences, Professor Abduhamid Makhsumov, was held at Andijan State University.

The rector of Andijan State University Bakhtiyorjon Akbaraliyev opened the prestigious conference with an introductory speech. In his speech, he highly appreciated Professor Abduhamid Makhsumov‘s half-century of scientific and pedagogical activity, his invaluable contribution to the development of chemistry, and his exemplary life path dedicated to the education of many students.

Foreign scientists participating in the conference, professors from leading universities of Uzbekistan, and specialists from prestigious research centers presented their reports on current problems and prospects in folk medicine, commodity science, and modern chemistry.

Within the framework of the event, an exhibition was organized, reflecting the integration of science and practice. Innovative developments developed by scientists, textbooks, study guides, monographs by professors and teachers, as well as natural food additives promoting healthy eating, were presented to the general public.
