General Provisions

These Regulations define the main tasks, functions, rights, and responsibilities of the Department for Organizing the Scientific-Research Activities of Talented Students at Andijan State University, as well as the procedure for organizing its activities.

The Department operates in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions of the Chambers of the Oliy Majlis, decrees, resolutions, and orders of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, decisions and orders of the Cabinet of Ministers, orders and directives of the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovations, guidelines and instructions of the Youth Academy under the Ministry, orders and directives of the higher education institution’s administration, and these Regulations.

The Department is subordinate to the head of the higher education institution and the Vice-Rector for Scientific Affairs and Innovations, and is accountable to the Department for Coordinating the Activities of the Youth Academy under the Ministry.

The Department carries out its activities in cooperation with the First Vice-Rector for Youth Issues and Spiritual-Educational Affairs, the Department for Scientific Research, Innovations and Training of Scientific-Pedagogical Personnel, the Department for Commercialization of Scientific-Innovative Developments, and other departments.

Main Tasks of the Department for Organizing the Scientific-Research Activities of Talented Students:

1. Establishing the "Young Experts Group";

2. Forming special groups for the most talented students selected among university students;

3. Fostering and developing innovative activities among students;

4. Ensuring active participation of students in projects and various competitions;

5. Assigning students to scientific supervisors under the "Mentor-Apprentice" system;

6. Involving students in scientific-research activities conducted by departments;

7. Ensuring the participation of talented students in competitions for prestigious scholarships;

8. Ensuring students’ participation in various clubs, taking into account their interest in their specialization;

9. Preparing abstracts and articles as a result of scientific-research activities conducted with assigned mentors, and participating with presentations;

10. Ensuring the participation of talented students in scientific conferences held at national and international levels;

11. Regularly identifying the intellectual potential of talented students pursuing bachelor's and master's degrees;

12. Supporting the activities of talented students and master’s students, and enhancing the university’s scientific potential by providing them with practical assistance;

13. Organizing the search and identification of talented students;

14. Continuously identifying the intellectual potential of talented students in education;

15. Organizing targeted training for talented students based on their inclinations;

16. Organizing the involvement of students in fundamental scientific-research activities, scientific clubs, and authorship teams;

17. Assisting talented students in publishing scientific articles and implementing their scientific works and developments in practice;

18. Ensuring the participation of talented students in scientific conferences held at national and international levels;

19. Specially preparing candidates from talented students for state scholarships of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

20. Organizing meetings of talented students with prominent scientists, heads of production enterprises, and leading experts;

21. Involving students in science Olympiads and organizing such events.
