Tasks of the Media Center Department:

a) Formation of information policy: implementation of a modern information policy in cooperation with the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Innovation of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the university management;

b) Collaboration with the media: Working with journalists, disseminating information, and organizing public events;

c) Website and social network development: rapid placement and updating of information on the official website of the University, development of social networks;

d) Information monitoring: analysis of the media and social networks, study of public opinion, and reporting to the university administration;

e) Preparation of materials: Formation of a bank of photo, audio, video, and text materials, production of information and analytical materials for the media.

 

The press secretary will contribute to strengthening the university's image based on openness, transparency, and modern information technologies. In the future, the main goal is to promote the university as a prestigious educational institution at the international level, actively participate in digital platforms, and develop effective communication with the public.

The values of the media center department include openness and transparency, professionalism, and cooperation. Openness and transparency mean providing the public with prompt and impartial information. Professionalism requires high qualifications and the use of modern approaches in the information sphere. Cooperation involves close interaction with government agencies, the media, and university departments.

Regarding the important stages, they are compliance with the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Law "On Openness of State Authorities" and other legislative acts as a regulatory framework; coverage of the university's activities through the organization of events, i.e., press conferences, briefings, seminars, and round tables; digital development, i.e., maintaining websites and social networks at a modern level, and preparing television programs and videos; and information security, i.e., archiving materials and managing a database.

 

External partners and opportunities

The external partners and capabilities of the media center department are Andijan MTRK, My5, Uzbekistan 24 television, the newspapers "Xalq so'zi" and "Hurriyat," the National Information Agency of Uzbekistan (UzA), and the official Telegram pages Vodiy1.uz and Edu.uz. The university's image will be strengthened through the distribution of press releases, newsletters, analytical articles, and multimedia materials in cooperation with these media outlets, as well as the organization of mass events. Cooperation with UzA and international news agencies allows covering the university's activities at the international level, for example, through the promotion of international projects and scientific research. Digital platforms such as Vodiy1.uz and Edu.uz provide fast information dissemination and interactive communication among young people and students. These partnerships serve to enhance the university's prestige at the international and local levels, based on the values of openness and transparency.

 

Special research activity

The media center department carries out special research activities by monitoring and analyzing the information space. This process includes continuous monitoring of materials on the university's activities in the media, social networks, and internet resources, as well as analysis of public opinion and the position of national and foreign media. Based on the research results, together with experts, proposals are prepared on the methods and level of information response. The department is responsible for the comprehensive organization of materials distributed in the media and social networks to strengthen the university's image. At the same time, special research activities include the preparation of information and analytical materials on the educational and scientific activities of the university, the formation of public opinion, and the development of strategies to counter negative information flows. The research results are presented to the rector of the university as a report and serve as a basis for improving information policy.
