Approved Regulation on the Department’s Activities

On December 27, 1991, the Women's Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan established at the Termez Conference of Women of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Based on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. UP-1084 "On measures to enhance the role of women in the state and social construction of the Republic of Uzbekistan" dated March 2, 1995, the status of chairman of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan was assigned to the Deputy Prime Minister, chairmen of regional, district and city women's committees - deputy governor.

The adoption of Presidential Decree No. UP-3434 “On additional measures to support the activities of the Women's Committee of Uzbekistan” dated May 25, 2004 increased attention to women's committees.

The main cell of the Women's Committee is the initial organization of women.



Main tasks of the Women's Primary Committee

Increasing the active participation of women in solving political, economic and social problems of society.

Provide comprehensive support to women, improve their socio-economic situation, and protect their rights and interests.

Strengthen family ties based on our national and spiritual values.

To educate young people as spiritually mature, ideologically active people who spare no effort for the development of the nation and the country, to form a healthy lifestyle.

The effective chairperson of the primary organization of the Women's Committee of Andijan State University were Doctors of Philology, Professors Munavvara Yakubbekova, Salimakhon Mirzayeva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Arafatkhon Negmatova, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Merozhkhon Yusupova.

Of the university's 508 women, 225 are members of the faculty.

Of these, 6 doctors of science (including four professors), 30 candidates of science (including 29 associate professors).

All eight faculties of the university have a primary women's organization.



Report on the Completed Activities

On December 4, 2024, a regular meeting of the University Women's Council was held at Andijan State University, dedicated to increasing the social activity of women, protecting their rights and interests, and improving spiritual and moral education.

An extraordinary meeting of the Women's Advisory Council was held in the small conference hall of Andijan State University to discuss the nomination of candidates for state awards.

On December 27, 2024, a psychological training titled “Letter to Santa Claus” was conducted at Andijan State University at the initiative of university women’s psychologist Zulaykho Uzakova, aimed at creating a festive mood among working women on the eve of the New Year.

On February 10, 2025, another meeting was held at Andijan State University focused on enhancing women's social engagement, protecting their rights and interests, and further improving moral and spiritual education.

On March 6, 2025, an interfaculty contest titled “Well Done, Girls!” was organized at Andijan State University to educate female students in the spirit of respect for national values, culture, and traditions.

On March 12, 2025, a meaningful roundtable discussion was held at Andijan State University under the leadership of Sobirahon Toshpo‘latova to enrich female students’ spiritual knowledge and educate them in line with national values.

On April 10, 2025, a roundtable event titled “Educated Motherhood is the Foundation of the Family!” was held at Andijan State University in connection with the launch of the Andijan regional support group under the “Women's Enlightenment” Scientific-Creative Public Council affiliated with the Committee for Family and Women’s Affairs.
