The accounting department of the university performs the following functions:
- Accounting - the process of creating a university accounting system to provide users with complete and reliable information about the financial and economic activities and financial condition of the university;
- Provides timely information about the evaluation, analysis, execution and monitoring of financial and operational reports and results of the university;
- Prepares and approves forms of internal accounting, forms of primary accounting documents used for registration of business transactions, an accounting plan, consisting of statistical and analytical reporting;
- Provides procedures for the inventory and valuation of property, documentation on the availability, condition and valuation of property;
- Establishes a system of internal control over the correctness of registration of economic and accounting operations when drawing up a document;
- Forms a system of accounting and reporting information that meets the requirements of accounting, tax, statistical and management accounting, providing the necessary information to external users;
- Carries out work on accounting for the financial activities of the university, financial, accounting and credit operations, financial resources, material and production reserves, fixed assets, liabilities and property.
Accounting provides:
- Accurate and timely confirmation of business transactions, cash flow, the formation of income and expenses and the fulfillment of obligations on the settlement account of the university accounting department;
- Timely collection of taxes and fees to the republican, regional and local budgets, insurance premiums to extra-budgetary social funds, payment credit organizations, funds, debts;
- Overseeing the organization's use of payroll and the accuracy of payroll calculations, inventory, accounting and reporting procedures, and due diligence;
- Participation in the formation of tax policy in the financial analysis of information in the accounting and reporting of the audit organization;
- Development of proposals aimed at improving the financial performance of the university, the study of financial and non-financial costs;
- Ensuring compliance with financial and accounting rules, as well as the legality of reporting shortfalls, receivables and various losses.
