1. Qualification Goals

Learning Outcome: The students should

  • Familiarize themselves with modern knowledge research methods of semiconductor Photovoltaics.
  • Be able to design and development of building integrated photovoltaic systems
  • Be able to performance monitoring and analysis
  • Be able to development of thin film solar cell devices and manufacturing processes
  • Be able to Solar cell testing and characterization
  • Be able to Environmental assessment of PV manufacturing and implementation
  • Be able to Information dissemination and demonstration programs

The Module Conveys:

20% knowledge & comprehension, 20% analysis & method, 20% inventor & design, 20 % research & evaluation, 20 % application & practice

· Fundamentals of Semiconductors

· Fundamentals of Solar Cells and Systems

· Material and Solar Cell Characterization

· Electronics for Photovoltaic Systems

· Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaics

· Thin-Film Photovoltaics and Concentrator Photovoltaics

2.  Condition for Participation

Preferable: good knowledge of semiconductor physics and photoelectric process.

Contents are presented in lectures illustrated by exercises and case studies.

Renewable Energy

1. Qualification Goals

Learning Outcome:

The students should

· Describe the fundamentals and main characteristics of renewable energy sources and their differences compared to fossil fuels.

· Explain the technological basis for harnessing renewable energy sources

· Recognize the effects that current energy systems based on fossil fuels have over the environment and the society

· Describe the main components of different renewable energy systems

· Compare different renewable energy technologies and choose the most appropriate based on local conditions

· Perform simple techno-economical assessments of renewable energy systems

· Perform and compare environmental assessments of renewable energy systems and conventional fossil fuel systems

· Design renewable/hybrid energy systems that meet specific energy demands, are economically feasible and have a minimal impact on the environment

· Suggest the best combination of technological solutions to minimize the emission of greenhouse gases and increase the sustainability of the energy system in specific areas/regions

· Discuss how to utilize local energy resources (renewable and non-renewable) to achieve the sustainable energy system

MINUTES

On April, 20th, 2018 in the city of Andizhan on the basis of the Andizhan state university the seminar of project RENES for partners of Uzbekistan was held.

The seminar agenda is applied.

The first day, Fraiday, April 20th

- On behalf of organizers of a seminar the professor of chair of physics the coordinator of project АSU Rayimjon Aliev has presemtation.

- Participants of a seminar were welcomed by the academician of AS of Uz Sirajidin Zaynabidinov and has told about activity of ASU, education systems in a bachelor degree and a master program.

- Professor Ahmed Yusupov reported on a course of performance of the project and forthcoming problems (ТАRI). Has offered discussing for the second day with all participants of the project questions of preparation of curriculums and a technique of their training in a master program under project RENES.

- Professor R.Aliev (АSU) about purchasing processes of lab equipment’s has presentation. Informed about prepared and transferred to Grantholder university the contracts made with industrial companies from European Countries.

He also has short information about a course of performance of problems of the project group of ASU.

- On working out of curriculums for a master program after thermal influence of sunlight senior lecturer Abdurahmon Abdullaev (GulSU) reported.

Discussion on performance of problems of the second working package on working out of curriculums on selective disciplines of a master Program is spent.

Software products for the COMPUTER, the chairs developed by scientists which can be introduced in educational process of a master program under project RENES are presented.
